{"name":"Mixed breed - Arevadan\/Storm elf","overview":"An unusual union indeed. The union of the free spirited storm elf mixed with the stoic and proud arevadan creates someone who must find a balance between these two highly conflicting natures. Though often in mixed breed unions, the genetics of the arevadan will take prominence over that of the other species. This union will often inherit Arevadan lifespans and as such they can live for thousands of years at the very least. ","alignment":"Typically neutral. You have resistance to damage taken from falling. \r\n\r\nMagical Instincts: Your kind\u2019s minds are highly focused machines, you have an instinct for when the natural world has been altered. You make Wisdom (Perception) checks to notice and see through magical illusions at advantage. \r\n\r\nStrong magic: Your bloodline allows for a strong proficiency with magic. You roll with advantage on air-related or celestial-related spells. You must pick one of the two.\r\n\r\nBlood arcane focus - When lacking spell components or a standard arcane focus, arevadan and half arevadan can use a standard vial size of fresh blood as an arcane focus. \r\n\r\nPick one of these three:\r\n\r\nReflexes: Your supernatural instincts warn you of impending danger. You are immune to attacks of opportunity and gain an attack of opportunity if enemies fail their first attempted attack against you. When enemies attempt a surprise attack you can roll with advantage to detect or counter the attack. \r\n\r\nAll-Consuming Light: Starting at 3rd level, you can use your action to unleash the energy within yourself, causing a searing light to radiate from you, pour out of your eyes and mouth, and threaten to char you.\r\nThis magical overflow lasts for 1 minute or until you end it as a bonus action. During it, you shed bright light in a 10-foot radius and dim light for an additional 10 feet, and at the end of each of your turns, you and each creature within 10 feet of you take radiant damage equal to half your level (rounded up). In addition, once on each of your turns, you can deal extra radiant damage to one target when you deal damage to it with an attack or a spell. The extra radiant damage equals your level.\r\nOnce you use this trait, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest. \r\n\r\nFast healing - Your flesh responds to damage with shocking speed. They regain hit points at a fast rate, gaining a number of hit points equal to the player's level per round (minimum of 1). Except where noted here, fast healing is just like natural healing. Fast healing does not restore hit points lost from starvation, thirst, or suffocation, nor does it allow a creature to regrow lost body parts. It does not allow lost body parts to be reattached. Fast healing continues to function (even at negative hit points) until a creature dies, at which point the effects of fast healing end immediately.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n","description":"This species lives a challenging existence. Accepted by one side of their heritage while hated by the other to the point of wishing to exterminate them. Arevadan are not kind to those they feel have polluted their bloodline. \r\n\r\nTheir strong magic potency also leaves them at risk of those who may wish to hunt them. Their Arevadan heritage causes their blood to be desirable for things such as magic rituals. Half breeds are considered easier targets than a standard Arevadan. They are also considered novelties that may be easier to capture to keep as things like slaves, pets, or private soldiers. \r\n\r\nA half-arevadan struggles to truly find their place in the world.
