On a failed save, the creature is silenced for 1 minute.\r\n\r\nA silenced creature cannot speak, cast spells with verbal components, or produce any sound.\r\n\r\nThis effect can only be removed early by Remove Curse or Dispel Magic cast at 6th level or higher.\r\n\r\n[h4]Shadowmeld[\/h4]\r\n\r\nOnce per long rest, the wielder may activate the Shadowmeld effect as a bonus action, cloaking themselves in magical invisibility for 10 minutes.\r\n\r\nThis invisibility works like Greater Invisibility, but with the following enhancements:\r\n[ul][li]The wielder leaves no tracks, scent, or traces of movement.[\/li][\/ul]\r\n[ul][li]The wielder is undetectable by Detect Magic, Scrying, or similar divination spells unless viewed by a deity or a creature with truesight.[\/li][\/ul]\r\n\r\n[h4]Betrayer\u2019s Strike[\/h4]\r\n\r\nIf the wielder attacks a creature that is unaware or surprised, the attack is made with advantage.\r\n\r\nIf this attack hits, it is automatically treated as a critical hit, and the psychic damage increases from 3d6 to 6d6.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, the target must make a DC 18 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the target is stunned until the end of the wielder\u2019s next turn.\r\n\r\n[h1]Enhanced Properties (Post-Attunement)[\/h1]\r\n\r\n[h4]Whispers of Treachery[\/h4]\r\n\r\nShadow\u2019s Kiss begins to whisper fragments of treachery into the wielder\u2019s mind. The wielder gains proficiency in Deception, Insight, and Stealth (if they aren't proficient already).\r\n\r\nThe wielder also gains advantage on all Deception checks when attempting to persuade someone to act against their allies.\r\n\r\n[h4]Phantom Strike[\/h4]\r\n\r\nAs a bonus action, you can command Shadow's Kiss to become an invisible phantom blade for up to 1 minute.\r\n\r\nWhile in this state, the dagger floats in the air, allowing the wielder to make attacks using their bonus action. The phantom blade deals an additional 2d8 psychic damage on a hit.\r\n\r\nThis ability can be used once per short rest.\r\n\r\n[h4]Agiin\u2019s Favor[\/h4]\r\n\r\nIf the wielder successfully betrays a trusted ally (by causing harm or performing a treacherous act), they gain the ability to activate the following bonus effects for 1 minute:\r\n[ul][li]Critical Betrayal: Every attack against a surprised or unaware creature is treated as a critical hit.[\/li][\/ul]\r\n[ul][li]Shadow Jaunt: The wielder can teleport to any shadow within 60 feet as a bonus action.[\/li][\/ul]\r\n\r\n[h2]Special Ability - Veil of Deception[\/h2]\r\nOnce per week, you can call upon the power of Agiin to mask your intentions.\r\n\r\n[ul][li]For 24 hours, the wielder benefits from the effects of Mind Blank (immunity to psychic damage, protection from divination spells, and immunity to mind-reading effects).[\/li][\/ul]\r\n[ul][li]While under this effect, all Insight checks made against you automatically fail.[\/li][\/ul]\r\n[ul][li]After the 24-hour period, the wielder must make a DC 20 Charisma saving throw. On a failed save, they are compelled to betray a trusted ally or reveal a critical secret.[\/li][\/ul]\r\n\r\n[h1]Curses[\/h1]\r\n[h4]Whispering Shadows[\/h4]\r\n\r\nShadow's Kiss constantly whispers to the wielder, filling their mind with thoughts of betrayal.\r\n\r\nEach dawn, the wielder must make a DC 18 Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save:\r\n[ul][li]The wielder becomes paranoid, believing their allies are conspiring against them.[\/li][\/ul]\r\n[ul][li]This paranoia lasts for 24 hours and imposes disadvantage on all Insight and Charisma checks involving allies.[\/li][\/ul]\r\n[h4]Bane of Trust[\/h4]\r\n\r\nThe wielder is cursed to betray those closest to them.\r\n\r\nWhenever the wielder has an opportunity to deceive, betray, or harm a trusted ally, they must make a DC 18 Wisdom saving throw.\r\n\r\nOn a failed save, they are compelled to act on the opportunity.\r\n\r\n[h4]Marked by Agiin[\/h4]\r\n\r\nIf the wielder attempts to discard, destroy, or betray the interests of Agiin, they are immediately struck by divine retribution.\r\n\r\nThe wielder takes 8d10 psychic damage and is permanently marked with a Mark of Betrayal.\r\n\r\nThe mark is only visible to creatures tied to betrayal, such as agents of Agiin and creatures with divine insight.\r\n\r\nThis mark can only be removed via Divine Intervention or a Wish spell.","description":"Forged from the essence of pure betrayal, Shadow's Kiss is a slender dagger with an edge so dark that it seems to devour all surrounding light.
