Unseen Manipulation
While attuned to the Whisperer’s Shroud, the wearer can use an action to cast telekinesis without expending a spell slot. This ability can be used once per long rest. Unlike the traditional spell, however, all movements and manipulations are completely silent and subtle, guided by whispered commands only the wearer can hear. This allows for the unlocking of doors, moving of objects, and sabotage of mechanisms without alerting others.
Silent Step
The wearer gains advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks and becomes completely silent while moving. They cannot be heard even on noisy surfaces like creaking wood or crunching gravel, and their movement leaves no tracks, footprints, or scent trails that could be followed by mundane tracking methods.
Shadowmeld
While in dim light or darkness, the wearer becomes invisible to creatures that rely on sight, including creatures with darkvision. This invisibility is only broken if the wearer attacks, casts a spell, or moves into an area of bright light. Shadowmeld can be activated or deactivated as a bonus action.
Eavesdropper’s Gift
Once per long rest, the wearer can cast clairvoyance without expending a spell slot. The magical sensor takes the form of a small, whispering shadow, and only the wearer can see or hear through it. This allows the wearer to listen in on distant conversations or observe remote locations, making it an invaluable tool for spies, infiltrators, and conspirators.
Enhanced Properties (Post-Attunement)

Aura of Deception
After attuning to the Whisperer’s Shroud, the wearer passively radiates an aura that subtly influences the minds of those within 30 feet. All creatures within the aura have disadvantage on Insight checks against the wearer, making it easier for them to lie or deceive.
Master of Shadows
The wearer’s mastery of shadows is enhanced. They can now move through solid surfaces of shadow as if they were incorporeal. As an action, they may step through a shadow and reappear in another shadow within 60 feet, similar to the dimension door spell. This ability can be used once per short rest.
Binding Shadows
Once per long rest, the wearer can summon shadowy tendrils to bind a target. As an action, the wearer forces a creature within 30 feet to make a DC 20 Strength saving throw. On a failed save, the target is restrained for 1 minute, enveloped in writhing shadows. Each turn, the restrained creature takes 3d10 psychic damage as they hear whispers of their greatest regrets and betrayals. The creature can attempt to break free at the end of each of its turns by repeating the saving throw.
Special Power - Whisperer’s Command
Once per week, the wearer can channel the full power of Agiin to dominate a creature’s will. As an action, they can cast dominate person or dominate monster without expending a spell slot. The target hears a voice in their mind—Agiin’s whisper—urging them to submit. The target must succeed on a DC 22 Wisdom saving throw or be dominated for 1 minute. If the target succeeds, they become aware of the shroud's influence and are immune to its effects for 24 hours.
Curses

Compulsive Liar
While attuned to the Whisperer’s Shroud, the wearer becomes compelled to lie compulsively. When faced with a situation where they must tell the truth, they must succeed on a DC 16 Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, they are compelled to lie, even if doing so is irrational or dangerous. This condition lasts until the end of the conversation or event. Over time, this effect can cause isolation and a loss of trust from allies.
Marked by Shadows
The wearer becomes a beacon for betrayal. Their soul is marked by Agiin’s influence, making them vulnerable to divination spells. Creatures with the ability to detect lies, betrayals, or hidden intentions (like paladins of truth or creatures tied to gods of honesty) automatically sense the wearer’s treacherous nature. When the wearer attempts to use the shroud’s abilities to betray or harm an ally, they must succeed on a DC 18 Charisma saving throw. On a failed save, they take 4d10 psychic damage, as the shroud itself punishes them for turning against one of their own.
Servant of Agiin
Once attuned, the wearer is permanently bound to the Whisperer’s Shroud. Attempts to remove, destroy, or discard the shroud will cause it to vanish and reappear draped around their shoulders at midnight. The only way to break this bond is through divine intervention or a wish spell.
The Whisperer’s Shroud is a cloak of pure shadow, its fabric as light as air and as silent as a whisper. Its surface constantly shifts, creating flowing patterns of darkness that seem to move of their own accord. When worn, the shroud melds with the darkness around it, making the wearer appear as little more than a shadow among shadows.

The shroud exudes an eerie aura of secrecy, and those sensitive to magic can hear faint whispers emanating from it—words that dance just beyond the edge of comprehension. It is said that these whispers come from Agiin, the God of Betrayal and Traitors, whose power is infused into the shroud. Those who wear it find themselves drawn into the world of deception, compelled to weave lies and betray trust.

Its subtle influence is difficult to resist. While it grants its wearer unparalleled mastery of shadows and stealth, it also corrupts their mind, warping their sense of truth and loyalty. Lying becomes second nature, and betrayal feels as natural as breathing.
