The\r\ntarget can be a creature or an object not made of ice.[\/p]\r\n[p]A creature targeted by this spell must make a\r\nDexterity saving throw. On a failed save, the target\r\ntakes 10d8 + 60 cold damage and suffers one level of\r\nexhaustion. If this damage reduces the target to 0\r\nhit points, it is frozen into solid ice.[\/p]\r\n[p]If the spell is used to target an object smaller\r\nthan 60 feet on a side, the object turns to solid ice. If\r\nthe object is larger than that, this spell turns a 60\r\nfoot cube of it into ice. Each 10 ft portion of ice has\r\n12 AC and 30 hit points as well as vulnerability to\r\nfire damage. Magic items are unaffected by this\r\nspell. Any creature that ends their turn within 10\r\nfeet of an object turned to ice in this way takes 3d8\r\ncold damage.[\/p]\r\n[p]Alternatively, this spell can be used to flashfreeze a wide expanse of still or slowly flowing\r\nwater. The most common use is to freeze up to a 10-\r\nmile long, 1-foot deep bridge of ice to traverse a lake\r\nor slow river. This spell can also freeze a 100-foot\r\ncube of water into solid ice. Creatures submerged in\r\nthe water when it is frozen by this spell take 100\r\npoints of cold damage and are restrained until they\r\nthaw or break free.[\/p]\r\n","higherlevels":"","source":"Opus of Elemental Substance","tabledata":"","tags":"Spell, 9th-Level, Homebrew","templateId":"19","blockId":"245073","isShared":"on"}
