Grik possess an alien and inscrutable mindset, their desires and thoughts driven by a different set of basic principles than those of warm-blooded creatures. Despite their alien outlook, some grik make an effort to understand and, in their own manner, befriend people who can best them in combat. Such grik make faithful and skilled allies.\r\n[h2]Age[\/h2]\r\nGrik reach maturity around age 5 but usally live less than 3 years as wariors for more senior grik. If they live to maturity, they get much more intelligent.\r\n[h2]Alignment[\/h2]\r\nMost grik are lawful evil. They see the world as a place of predators and prey, where life and death are natural processes. They wish to be predators, but prefer to leave other creatures to their own devices if they are not currently prey.\r\n[h2]Size[\/h2]\r\nGrik are a little bulkier and taller than humans. Size is Medium.\r\n[h2]Speed[\/h2]\r\nBase walking speed is 30 feet, and a swimming speed of 30 feet.\r\n[h2]Bite[\/h2]\r\nYour fanged maw is a natural weapon, which can be used to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with it, you can deal piercing damage equal to 1d6 + your Strength modifier, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike.\r\n[h2]Natural Armor[\/h2]\r\nYou have a tough scaly skin. When you aren't wearing armor, your AC is 13 + your Dexterity modifier. You can use your natural armor to determine your AC if the armor you wear would leave you with a lower AC. A shield's benefits apply as normal while you use your natural armor.\r\n[h2]Hunter's Lore (Level 3)[\/h2]\r\nYou gain proficiency with two of the following skills of your choice: Animal Handling, Nature, Perception, Stealth, and Survival.\r\n[h2]Hungry Jaws (Level 2)[\/h2]\r\nIn battle, you can throw yourself into a vicious feeding frenzy. As a bonus action, you can make a special attack with your bite.
