Special Maneuvers
Feint - Make a shimmering motion with the weapon in your main hand against an opponent in melee range as a Bonus Action to goad them into attacking more predictably. The target must make a Wisdom saving throw against a DC equal to 8 + Your Proficiency Bonus + Dexterity modifier or be fooled. If the target has failed their saving throw, when the target next attempts to attack you, you will automatically succeed on a Parry without needing to spend your Reaction.
Flurry of Strikes - As an Attack action while the weapon is wielded without an offhand, make a number of melee attacks equal to your Dexterity modifier for 1d10 AP III Piercing damage each. You may choose to attack one target or as many targets as you can make attacks with that are in range. This maneuver can be performed once per turn.
Flying Fang - Lunge forward up to 10 feet to make an attack against an opponent within 15 feet of you without using movement or provoking opportunity attacks. This deals AP IV Piercing damage instead of Slashing damage. This maneuver can be performed once per turn.
Guard Stance - After making an attack and while in melee range of only one opponent, raise your weapon with the tip pointed down and your hand raised high as a Bonus Action. Your chosen opponent has Disadvantage on their melee attacks against you, you have Advantage on your parries, don't need to spend your reaction to Parry, but you cannot Riposte until the start of your next turn. Once you have used this maneuver, you may not use it again until after your next turn.
Parry - When an opponent attempts to attack you in Melee range, you may use this weapon to attempt to intercept the attack by using your Reaction. Make an attack roll against the target, if your attack roll beats theirs, you Parry the attack and deflect the blow.
Riposte - On a successful Parry, you may attempt to attack the target that attacked you by using your weapon.

Handling: 1-handed
The Reng Shue straight sword preferred by a few duelists and other martial arts practitioners, the Jian is a 1-handed blade with two edges and a protective hilt which is often only slightly wider than the blade itself. The hilt's guard often features highly decorated filigrees featuring animals, and the guard is typically a flatter design that lies parallel to the blade. Some Jian feature the circular guard which lies perpendicular to the blade, not unlike the Jikdo or Yatagan designs. The most commonly featured animal is of course, the viper. It is frequently referred to as 'the gentleman's blade' for its cultural reverence for the honorable user.
