Shadu magia is connected to the tome guides on Wani uses spells. The book was written to learn how Wani weave their magia to make the spells. They protect beasts, honor Shadu, and bind themselves by Aelen's oath. The tome is not ending a war or bind the beasts to the Wani. Quietly shapes Shadu limiting what Wáni may do with their magia.

The tome was created by Aelen for Wani to use for their magia. Aelen start using the tome when he frist use spells through the magia. Wani realized the book helped in understanding their magia more deeply. Many copies of the tome were lost over the three centuries. They were buried with fallen Wani, scattered by storms, or simply misplaced in the wild.
