This is an open confession. I am completely amateur to the academic understanding of the contents of this Wiki. Everything is updated as I learn it and read from what I can obtain. I started this merely as an obsessive of the paranormal and supernatural. I enjoy fringe theory. But my pattern-seeking obsessive compulsive thinking started finding connections in multiple culture's folklore and demonology.

The lost information from the Library of Alexandria is my personal "Roman Empire." I think there were more cultural overlaps in folklore, mythology, demonology, theology, magic, and spiritualism than we realize and that information is now lost. But if we can put as much of it as possible in one place, tag them with odd tropes and things that seem to overlap--essentially an occult TV Tropes--we can start to make a full pattern and connection.

The purpose of this Annotation Journal is to provide several different sections with guides and tips/tricks as I research, practice, and understand all there is to the world of the occult. This will be structured into three philosophically and spiritually charged sections: Universal Healing (All Forms of Light, Healing, Protective, Charm Magic/Ritual), Evil Warding (A full catalogue of how to weaken, harm, or dispel any type of malevolent entity), and Personal Theories (A Meta-Text Laying the Connection Between Internet Theories, Pop Culture, Media and the Historical Occult).

As a foundation, I've started with some broader academic literature: Drawing Down the Moon, which has been insightful into the history of Greco-Roman culture's relationship with magic and the paranormal. I'm sure the book gets into a bit more, but citing Aristophanes' Clouds as the first written mention of magic and witches implies a pre-existing history. Was there ever a written spell first otherwise? Is it in the Greek Magical Papyri? I need to get my dates straight.

When I need a break from academic literature and straight theory, I switch to encyclopedic entries for entities. The first encyclopedia is a butchered, abridged version of The Infernal Dictionary, which the full version can be found translated online and I'll read through that later on to update further. At the moment, it's good for creating entity stubs that will likely be tagged the more I read into everything.

After that, I'm switching to Yokai. The whole Christian demonology is honestly exhausting to read. It's full of xenophobic demonizing of other culture's deities and often times just plainly antisemitic editorial translation.

I really admire how passionate and thoughtfully researched your project is, what start you connecting folklore and occult tradition across different culture?

The pacing here is fantastic the creeping dread, the explosive battle, and that final reveal all build on each other perfectly, and seeing someone as unshakable as Sam end the chapter in genuine fear made the return of the Elemental feel terrifyingly significant.

Hello, I just finished reading your story, and I absolutely adored it! Your writing is incredible, and I couldn’t stop imagining how fantastic it would look as a comic. I’m a professional commissioned artist, and I’d be thrilled to adapt your story into a comic format. No pressure, of course. I just think your work would shine in that medium. If you’re interested, feel free to reach out to me on Discord (laurendoesitall) Instagram (elsaa.uwu). Let me know your thoughts! Best, lauren
