Kreshjsir had worked hard to sneak into the room. His father was going into town, and it will take hours to get to town from the Druganaji farmlands, so now is the only time he'd be able to go. Kresh will be going, he wont even wait to get permission. It will be so much fun to explore and wander. His brother Abidyn is there... staring at a wall, again, wait, is that a splotch? Abidyn's deep cobalt blue hair is as good for sneaking as Kresh's own grape hair. He was a little jealous of his brothers olive skin with a cool pink undertone, so much better than his own olive with warm undertones. Kresh smiled. Abidyn wont tell an him. Kresh starts to sneak up to Abidyn. Yes! Abidyns is distracted like he hoped, this is going to be so easy, he mused.
"Booo!" Kresh exclaimed as he shook his bother.
"Ahhh, Kresh!" Abidyn sighed "Your getting real good at that."
"Nah, it was easy, you where distracted by that... splotch."
"Wait you can see it? That's great! it means your magic has grown" Abidyn measures Kresh's height "Think you got a bit taller too."
Kresh slaps Abidyn's hand away. "Brother! you saw me last night! It's not like I could have grown. Besides, who wants to be tall, it just makes it harder to sneak."
Abidyn chuckles "But you actually can grow over night, it's called a growth spurt. " he ruffles Kresh's hair. "Also it's hard to tell peoples magic levels, especially little spellbinder boys of 10."
"I bet you can, Devil's eye!"
Abidyn sighed. "Please don't call me that."
"13 years old and already considered a boy wonder."
"Not a good one. And I keep telling you, your ability to sneak is probably better than my aberration. Anyways, wanna listen in on mom and dad, its not to hard to hear them?"
Kresh slunk over to the door with a grin.
"Okay, can you think of anything else my love?" asked Getoaresh.
"That should be all, you'll have to go multiple locations, they haven't had time to bring it all to warehouses. Oh love, can you check in with the guards, and adventurers? They've both seen an increase of monster activity, and I want the details about it." Emene said.
"Wile you check on the troops at main farm gates?
"Yes, I've heard about an increase in Ur' led attacks. The Druganaji farms are the best in the nation, and with a lot of people who are scattered out in the farms. Not that I'd expect another nation to attack us, It is an ideal target. Ur' or otherwise."
"Nevin and his troops should be back by tomorrow."
"I told him to let the portal mage stay here rather than head back with him! I know he is under pressure by the capital, but even the adventurers don't have a mage with them. The capital is just too greedy. In the past they'd have never let such a big farming town be without a portal, even if just an for emergency."
"He at least tripled the guard at lea-"
"And that isn't enough, he knows that! Being able to get people out, and in by portal is essential! Even the idea of having back up will help with our moral. Not to mention, far more troops that could come from it. For deaths sake, the capital has even taken the killim! We can't even have a hobbyist try open a portal!"
after a silence ensues. "Right. So anyway. Geto dear, I know your taking Abidyn with you, but you may as well take Kresh with you." Kresh stiffened "We both know he will just find a way to sneak into your cart. Darkness, he's probably on the other side of that door." Emene said.
Suddenly the door flung open, startling Kresh, his eyes shifting from door frame to door frame. His mother Emene smirked at him. Her beige complexion and golden undertone catching the light. Along with her bright scarlet red hair. He could only guess how hard it'd be to hide like that. Kresh glanced over at his father who had somehow gotten to the door. He was holding back a laugh. How does Getoaresh sneak so well with bright fuchsia pink hair, and olive skin with golden undertone. Tall, he thinks? And lanky figure, it should be hard to hide... and yet... maybe father uses magic. Although Kresh wasn't taught of any magic that could help sneak. There is those... binding? Magss's he's been told about, but they're not suppose to work very well.
"Alright Kresh, you can come with me into town" Geto said, interrupting his thoughts.
"My little spellbinder, so mischievous." Emene said with a smile.
"Dad! Kresh can see it!" Abidyn points at the splotch.
"Oh that impressive, can barely see anything myself. Figure out how to help the soul move on?" Geto said.
"No, this is a fragment, I was trying to figure out how to send it to the biggest piece." Abidyn said.
"Dear. Go get some bovines. Now, my little spellbinders. Can you help with the yoke? Emene said.
As they wrestled with the yoke, and ropes, Geto came back with three of their biggest bovines.
"Do you think we'll need that many?" Emene said.
"Yes, the towns been so generous lately, and I suspect that they'll give us more than you think" Geto said.
"My beloved husband! Always having forethought to help me out in the things I forget, or don't put any thought into for that matter." she chuckles "I knew I married you for some reason." Emene said.
Geto finish tying up the yoke "Alright kiddos, hop on up. I would hope that's the case Emene. You are the head of the house, heir to the Druganaji greatlands. How long has your line been their holders again?"
"Okay, okay, time to head into town. It will take hours after all, and I would like you back in a timely manner. I hate sleeping alone."
"Ready to go kids, no need for a bathroom break? Alright, lets head out. Wile we travel you can tell me what you want to be when your adults. After which, I'll think of a new lesson, one that both you don't know about yet.
Geto hugged and kissed Emene and said the all said their goodbys.
