Divination

Divination is the school of magic that revolves around the use of magic to learn more about the past, present and future of the world and everything in it. Diviners do this through interpreting signs, events or omens or through the contact with an otherworldly or Divine being.   Diviners are able to learn long forgotten secrets, predict the future, ascertain hidden abilities and interpret the hidden meanings of dreams and nightmares. Because of the time it takes to interpret divination, a lot of divination spells are commonly ritualistic in nature and take time to perform and complete.   A pracitioner of divination magic may call themselves an occultist, seer, fortune teller, prophet or oracle. However, because there are a lot of people who pretend to be able to perform divination magic to earn money, it is wise to be careful when given a prediction or fortune telling. That being said, great diviners have existed throughout history who have predicted the future or gained insight in many of the world's mysteries.
