Glimmerleaf

Glimmerleaf is an important plant for certain nomadic tribes of @Azuno. These tribes use the plant to mark paths and safe passages through the otherwise treacherous jungle at night. Glimmerleaf plants are modest in size, with broad, heart-shaped leaves . During the day, they appear quite ordinary, but as dusk falls, they start gradually illuminating the surrounding area with a calming azure light. They are commonly found in the more humid and darker regions of the jungle, often near streams or in areas where the canopy above is particularly dense. Cuttings are made of the plant by botanists and shamans that know how to properly do so. These are then planted alongside paths, crossroads and entrances to provide direction in the dark.   The leaves are also sometimes harvested and woven into garlands or incorporated into headdresses, providing somewhat of a mystical source of light during (nocturnal) ceremonies and gatherings. Glimmerleaf is treated with great care and respect, and is not cultivated and harvested on a large scale. So when it is harvested, only a few leaves are taken from each plant, ensuring that it continues to thrive and propagate.
