Morhantine
Morhantine architecture has developed as a style in Morhan during the time when the city started to flourish and attract more wealth and people. It has since been used in the construction of various buildings in other cities in Wolfsbrunn such as Hartloch, Öfferwick and Westzell. It takes the simple principles of Old Sternean architecture but changes it through the use brick and granite, as well as visually through the addition of simple stone ornaments and carved details in the woodwork.
Simple yet Elegant
Morhantine architecture is a practical form of building that still has some flair to it in the shapes and forms that are used. Round arches are more commonly used for doorways and arcades in morhantine architecture. The keystone of these arches are often slightly ornamental in nature or are made into a more prominent geometrical shape. The cornices with ornately carved brackets are painted in a high contrasting color to the brick or stone used to separate the different floors and the tiled roofs visually.Glass and Metalwork
Contrary to Old Sternean architecture, buildings designed in a morhantine style often feature relatively smalle square glass windows without shutters on the outside. Fencing in wrought iron surrounds gardens and is used for balconies in larger buildings. Iron gates and leaded glass windows that feature many diagonal lines to form diamonds and triangles appear in the more ornamental variant of this style. These more luxurious materials are rare to find in early morhantine architecture but quite standard for the current morhantine style.Mor Deco
