Volodar Osseus was the last of the Osseus bloodline to be High King of the Kingdom of Wolfsbrunn. After his passing, the kingdom was ruled for many years by a council of the nobility of Wolfsbrunn as his son went missing around his death and was also presumed dead.
Rule
Volodar was seen as a very pious king. his devotion to
The Three became even more rigorous and strong after the death of his wife. Leaving the upbringing of his son to clerics and monks and his later education to the
Amaranthine Archivists. Volodar turned to rule the kingdom more strictly. Laws were heavily enforced, and the millitary force of the kingdom grew significantly under command of Volodar. He himself became obsessed with finding out the truth about the tragic history of his family, which he in time realized might be caused by a curse. He ordered
Ilyana Dur'mel, his right hand and
Arch Priestess of the Mother to investigate and eventually break the
The Red Queen's Curse.
Death
Volodar died somewhat indirectly as a result to his investigation into the curse. Both him, Ilyana and the entire kingdom were betrayed by
Eldrisa Dur'mel, the twin sister of Ilyana who had become part of
The Blood, a cult dedicated to bringing back the undead
Blood Queen Varoda from her banishment and take her rightful place on the throne. Volodar was killed in his palace shortly after the
Dimensional Fracturing by assassins of the Blood whom had used the chaos to attack and infiltrate the
Starfall Vale in order to retrieve the
Keys of the Red Queen within the
Sanctuary of the Divine Trinity.
