Legendary Pact of Blood
Infernal Curse:
When the Pactblade strikes a creature, the wielder can choose to invoke an infernal curse. The target must make a DC 18 Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the creature is cursed for 1 minute. The curse has one of the following effects, chosen by the wielder:
- Hellish Weakness: The cursed creature has disadvantage on attack rolls and saving throws.
- Infernal Fear: The cursed creature becomes frightened of the wielder and must use its movement to get as far away from the wielder as possible.
- Painful Flames: The cursed creature takes 2d8 fire damage at the start of each of its turns.
The creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the curse on a success. This ability can be used three times per long rest.
Demonic Channeling:
The Pactblade serves as a spellcasting focus, allowing the wielder to cast the following spells once per long rest without expending a spell slot:
Summon Infernal Minion:
As an action, the wielder can summon a demonic minion. The minion can be either:
The minions appear in an unoccupied space within 30 feet and remain for 10 minutes, obeying the wielder’s commands. This ability can be used once per long rest.
Demon’s Resilience:
While wielding the Pactblade, the wielder gains:
- Resistance to fire damage.
- Advantage on saving throws against being frightened or charmed.
The wielder's eyes glow with an infernal red light, marking them as a servant of Uztarr.
Enhanced Properties (Post-Attunement)
Once attuned, the Pactblade of Uztarr unlocks its full infernal might, granting the wielder the following enhanced abilities:
Champion of the Infernal Flame:
The fire damage dealt by the Pactblade increases from 3d8 to 4d10 fire damage.
Infernal Wings:
The wielder can summon demonic wings as a bonus action, granting them a flying speed of 60 feet for 10 minutes. This ability can be used once per long rest.
Master of Infernal Power:
The wielder can now cast Fireball and Wall of Fire twice per long rest.
Demonic Authority:
Creatures with the Fiend type have disadvantage on attack rolls against the wielder, and lower-level fiends (CR 5 or lower) must make a DC 18 Wisdom saving throw or be charmed for 1 hour when they first see the wielder.
Hellbound Perfection:
The wielder's Strength score increases by 4 (to a maximum of 26), and the wielder gains proficiency in Intimidation (if not already proficient). If proficient, their proficiency bonus for Intimidation is doubled.
Special Power - Pact of Infernal Wrath
Once per week, the wielder can invoke the Pact of Infernal Wrath, channeling the full power of Uztarr. For 1 minute, the wielder is surrounded by an infernal aura of searing flames, gaining the following benefits:
- All melee weapon attacks with the Pactblade deal an additional 4d8 fire damage.
- Hostile creatures within 15 feet of the wielder must make a DC 18 Wisdom saving throw at the start of their turn. On a failed save, they become frightened and take 3d6 fire damage.
After the duration ends, the wielder suffers two levels of exhaustion as the demonic power drains their life force.
Curses
Infernal Mark:
The Pactblade brands the wielder with an infernal mark, visible only to demons and creatures of the lower planes. The mark identifies the wielder as a servant of Uztarr. The wearer has:
- Disadvantage on Charisma checks when dealing with celestial beings.
- Radiant damage increased by 1d8 against the wielder.
Demonic Hunger:
The Pactblade craves blood and violence. If the wielder goes more than 24 hours without dealing damage, they suffer 4d10 psychic damage as the blade gnaws at their mind, filling it with visions of demonic torment. The blade cannot be willingly discarded, as it magically reappears in the wielder's possession if separated.
Whispers of Vengeance:
The Pactblade constantly whispers to the wielder, filling them with paranoia. Each dawn, the wielder must make a DC 18 Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, they become suspicious of their allies and believe they are plotting against them.
The Pactblade of Uztarr is a sinister, black-bladed longsword with a jagged edge that seems to ripple with infernal energy. The hilt is wrapped in demon-hide leather, and its crossguard is shaped like outstretched, clawed hands. Crimson runes glow along the blade, pulsing with a demonic rhythm like a second heartbeat. Shadows cling unnaturally to the blade, and faint whispers in Abyssal can be heard when it is drawn from its scabbard.
This weapon is a manifestation of Uztarr’s infernal will, a symbol of dominance, carnage, and destruction. Those who wield it are given immense power, but at a cost: they are marked as servants of Uztarr, scorned by celestials, and hunted by infernal enemies. This blade is not a mere tool of war—it is an extension of Uztarr’s influence, compelling the wielder to embrace violence, fear, and vengeance.
