During their encounters with the infinite writhing being, the twisted being from beyond this realm, their fallen brother, and the entity of unknown origin whose only purpose is to instill pain and suffering into the universe; the Interlopers learned the names of these vile creatures as they band together to commit the ultimate taboo: destroying a name.
While seemingly innocent sounding to a mortal, the complete and utter destruction of a name is a damning sentence; one that no entity can recover from. It does not kill, it does not annihilate, nor does it harm the being to whom the name belonged to; but rather it steals the majority of its power by erasing any and all memory of its name from the universe. It is not the same as tossing a fiend's name into a fire, nor the same as legally overriding one's old name in favour for a new one... To destroy a name means to erase it from even the gods' & goddess' memories, records, and tongues. A destroyed name does not force everything to forget about the entity, but it does erase their means of power; for having a name is to have power, to lose it is to lose such power. Although their original name that gave them power was destroyed, the Interlopers would give them a new name; as to lose a name is to lose great power, but to gain a new, bastardized name, is to lose even more power. It wasn't just a means of removing a name, it was a means of condeming them to shame for their continued existence.
Gathering together, the Interlopers combine their powers of life, death, creation, and destruction to completely and utterly destroy the names of the beings that plagued them. As each one's name was striken from the universal record, a shockwave traveled across the universe in the blink of an eye. First the infinite being's name, who, as soon as their name was destroyed, shrank in size as they could no longer resist the expansion of the universe's barrier. This being was given a new name, one that would ensure they would not be able to interfere with the Interlopers' precious universe any longer; the name 'Yveret', which means 'Annihilator' in Celestial.
The second being's name to be cleansed from the record was the twisted entity from beyond this reality. Losing her name, she was given the insult 'Yölt', which means 'Pervert' in Celestial. Yölt losing her name did very little to her power, however, as she was quite content with the damage she had caused and would instead prefer to meddle in the minds of the universe's occupants. Yölt saw her name being changed as delightful as it meant that even she could have her name perverted, warped, and contorted! The Interlopers, while distraught that Yölt didn't seem to lose a significant amount of power was at least relieved that she seemed to be content with the damage she had already done.
The third being to be damned by losing his name was the jealous Interloper who seemed to revel in the chaos of these beings enough to join them in their disarray. Losing their name hit him the hardest; as his power wasn't nearly the same as the other Interlopers' combined. His influence waned incredibly until he was no longer able to corrupt the minds of the Arcanists nor the other Interlopers. His new name, 'Yngdrasi', meant 'traitor' in Celestial. A name that would truly haunt him for the rest of the eternities.
The final name erased from existence was that of the mysterious entity, from an unknown origin; its senseless killings and will to torture stained the universe with the blood of the Interlopers as well as countless Arcanists. Its new name, 'Ytrav', meaning 'torturer', was more of a warning than a shackle; as the loss of its name barely made a dent in its bloodlust or sadism.
With their original names finally destroyed, the Interlopers finally had a moment to breathe; 'The Fallen Ones', as they'd eventually be referred to by the mortals, had finally been dealt with enough for the Interlopers to regain some semblance of control over the situation... Although that control would not be so easily retained, as the influence of The Fallen Ones would go on to destroy the minds of the Arcanists to the point where they were being used as proxies for The Fallen Ones' chaos and destruction.
