Arcane Blockade
Mighty Abjuration Curse (Creature)
Description. The Arcane Blockade curse is used to stop powerful spellcasters from casting their most potent spells and incantations. It grants the a small window of opportunity during which the spellcaster is only able to call upon a small portion of their full power.
Effects. A creature subjected to the Arcane Blockade curse, has to make a Wisdom saving throw (DC 25). On a failed save, they become cursed for the next minute. While Cursed in this way they cannot cast spells of the highest three spell slot levels available to them. For example, a creature that can cast a 3rd level spell cannot cast spells of 1st, 2nd or 3rd level while Cursed. A creature that can cast a 9th level spell cannot cast a 7th, 8th or 9th level spell. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of their turns, ending the effect on a successful save.
Breaking. Nothing short of a Wish spell will break this curse. Alternatively, expending all other spell slots also breaks this curse.
