Dusk Pine
Dusk Pines are a type of pinetree that grows near mountainranges in some places in the world. The needles of this tree have a color that is somewhere between dark green and navy blue. The wood of the tree is known as Duskwood, which is a valuable material for its beautiful dark blue color that it gains as it ages.
Dusk pines are not only famous for their wood, but they are also a favored place for small fey to call a home. Tiny fey creatures often build their homes or nests near or in these dark trees. Passersby may not see these creatures hiding in the trees, but through the dark needles, the fey observe those who walk past, be it friend or foe.
Because of this, cutting down a dusk pine holds some danger and is not allowed by some cultures who live a more harmonious life with the fey. It's very likely that this is the reason why some people believe Duskwood to be cursed, as the fey might take revenge on the person who destroyed their home.
