Sheep Drake

More sheep than dragon, Sheep Drakes are stocky and slow-moving creatures covered in thick, curly fleece that protects them from the elements. A Sheep Drake has soft, floppy wings that hang limply at its sides, useless for flight but occasionally fluttering when it leaps from hilltops, allowing it to glide short distances. Though its curled horns and a small protruding horn on its chin hint at something greater, the Sheep Drake is utterly content to spend its days grazing, dozing, and being led along by a shepherd.   Wonderful Wool. Wild Sheep Drakes roam grassy highlands and rolling hills, where they remain skittish and wary of outsiders, but in some regions they have been domesticated. The fleece of Sheep Drakes holds faint magical properties and wool spun from a Sheep Drake is said to keep nightmares at bay. It is typically woven into cloaks or blankets that provide a particular restful sleep.   Wooly Dragon. Despite their gentle nature, Sheep Drakes have some draconic quirks. They hoard small, shiny objects, often buttons, coins, and bits of metal that they find along their grazing paths and they pile up in the places they sleep. Unlike true dragons, they are easily startled, but if pressed, they defend themselves with an unexpectedly strong headbutt. With their thick skulls, they are capable of knocking down creatures twice their size. Before engaging in a fight, a Sheep Drake will typically use their sleep-inducing breath, a soft bleat that fills the air with a soothing mist. Sheep Drakes have been known to incapacitate entire groups of people this way, leaving them snoring peacefully in the grass as it waddles off, unbothered.
