This gemstone can hold 4 charges and regains 1d4 charges at each dawn. When you cast a spell that targets an area, you may choose to expend 2 charges to double the area of effect for that spell. Additionally, when you cast a spell that forces creatures to make a saving throw, you may choose to expend 2 charges to increase the saving throw for that spell by 3. You may combine these effects for the same spell but cannot use the same effect twice for the same spell.
