Imperial Academies
The Imperial Academies are the institutions responsible for education, research and preservation of knowledge within the Empire of the Jade Eye but also central to its innovation and wisdom guided government. The most learned and talented individuals, also called 'Savants' even form the legislative branch of the empire.
The Academy of Culture. Art, Communication, History, Philosophy
The Academy of Nature. Botany, Environment, Health, Zoology
The Academy of Order. Diplomacy, Law, Magic, War
The Academy of Prosperity. Crafts, Economics, Engineering, Trade
The schools. responsible for passing on knowledge.
The colleges. tasked with researching new knowledge.
The athaneums. dedicated to preserving knowledge.
Student. Any commoner enrolled in classes or studies within the academies. If one wishes to become a scholar, one must first have been a student. Scholar. The basic title given to all members of the imperial academies. Scholars are active in schools, academies and athaneums typically within a single faculty, but some change their field of study throughout their academic career.
Lector. Lectors are scholars who have demonstrated exceptional proficiency in their field of study and have been recognized with a commendation for their significant academic contributions. Depending on their role within the academies this can range from groundbreaking research, innovative teaching methods, or scholarly publications. Doctor. Doctor's are typically scholars of a specific field of study and usually have their own team of researchers consisting of all sorts of academics within their own faculty and sometimes even within other facultires or academies as well. Mentor. Typically senior academics who dedicate themselves to the guidance and development of junior scholars and students. Mentors are revered for their wisdom, experience, and nurturing approach to education within their field of study. Conservator. Conservators are workers in the athaneums skilled in a variety of restoration and conservation techniques. Their job requires immense skill, patience and a steady hand. Conservator's are typically either members of the Imperial Guilds employed by the academies, or scholars who have gotten trained by the imperial guilds. Curator. Curators manage and lead the athaneums. They oversee the various archives, collections, museums, and exhibitions within the academies and are responsible for the acquisition, conservation, archiving and display of all sorts of items, objects, texts and knowledge. Rector. Leaders of the faculties who all serve on a council of advisors to the The Jade Eye but who's main responsibility is the daily operations and organization of their respective faculties.
Savant The highest rank within Jadean academia, Savants form the legislative branch of the empire known as the Savantium.
Academies
There are four academies that are all located within the Imperial Iris in the empire's capitol of Rhajada. Each academy has four individual fields of study, called faculties.Faculties
