He has a good sense of price and quality, no matter what kind of goods or services he is selling or buying. Ted was and is able to be so good at what he does because he puts his ears to good use. He makes sure he hears all the gossip and news around the city that might result in some lucrative business for him, his brother and the rest of the Brett Family. Ted might have screwed over some people in some deals in the past, but with a new promise of prosperity and a cheeky smile, he always manages to be able to enter into new deals with those people all over again.
