Plane of Fire
The elemental plane of fire is a realm of pure flame and heat. Compared to the plane of fire, the deserts of the material plane are a comfortable place.
Constant Turmoil
Fire exists in solid, fluid and gas states on its native elemental plane. Mountains of crystalized flame, clouds of sparks and seas of liquid fire can be found across the plane. Because of its chaotic nature, the landscape of the elemental plan of fire is constantly changing. Rivers of lava and towering pillars of flame are reshaping the geography constantly. Volcanoes erupt without warning, spewing rivers of molten lava and ash into the air and massive wildfires rage across the land, fueled by the dry heat on the plane and strong winds that come in from the elemental plane of air. Often the skies are dark and smoky, the light from the plane itself casting it in a red glow. The air is thick with smoke, and the heat is intense, making it difficult for most creatures to survive. Sometimes the air can even be so filled with ash and soot, making it difficult to see more than a few feet ahead. The inhabitants of the plane are fiercely independent and highly territorial. They are constantly at war with each other, fighting over control of the best territories and the most valuable resources. Some of the more powerful inhabitants control vast domains and have taken command over lesser elemental beings. Others are solitary creatures, living in small, isolated enclaves where they try to live in peace on this unforgiving plane.Elemental Borders
The elemental plane of fire borders the other elemental planes of earth, air, and water. The borders between these planes are fluid and constantly shifting, with elements from each plane mixing and blending together. The border between the plane of fire and the plane of earth is marked by vast fields of molten lava, where molten rock from the earth plane mixes with flames from the fire plane. The border between the plane of fire and the plane of air is marked by raging wildfires and swirling vortexes of flame. The heat and turbulence of the fire plane fuels the winds of the air plane, creating powerful and dangerous storms. Those who dare to venture into these borderlands must be prepared for the unpredictable and often deadly conditions. The border between the plane of fire and the plane of water is perhaps the most volatile of all. When the two planes meet, the water from the water plane is instantly boiled away by the heat of the fire plane, creating massive clouds of steam and scalding steam vents.
