Okadorn

The Okadorn were the people that called the isle of Sonvahar and city of Oka Ador their home. The Okadorn were renowned for their deep understanding of wild magic and their use of Magitech in day to day life. Even though culture has mostly disappeared along with the city of Oka Ador, the remnants of the knowledge that the Okadorn had still resonate throughout the world.

Engineering and Arcana

There is not a lot known of the Okadorn people, as most traces of the civilization have disappeared along with the lost city of Oka Ador. Some ancient tomes and scrolls tell of a culture with a strong connection to the nature around them but with advanced agricultural methods and a fair justice system, but much detail about day to day life of the Okadorn is unknown. On one thing scholars agree, and that is that the okadorn people were highly skilled engineers and practitioners of magic. They possessed a profound knowledge of the arcane arts and had a deep connection with the wild magic that flows through the jungles of Azuno. This enabled them to push the boundaries of conventional magic and to explore the application of magic by combining it with their technological advancements.

Maybe one day, the Okadorn and their city may return to Azuno. Who knows how they may have developed their craft during all those centuries, and what will happen if that knowledge is brought back into the world.

It is thought that the Okadorn invented the first and most basic forms of magitech devices and mechanisms of the world, even if they may not have called it that at the time. According to legend, the Okadorn invented immensely large structures and systems that were powered by magic to effectively irrigate the lands, transport goods swiftly from place to place and illuminate the homes and streets of their impressive city at night. There were some remnants of these devices and mechanisms which were recovered by other civilizations after the disappearance of the city. Some arcanists have even been able to reproduce the mechanisms to some extent, but scholars and researchers have failed to uncover most of the arcane secrets within the few remnants that have been found.
