Weeks goes by as the nation secures the Palemare Barony. The various noble heads of Amazonia gather to finish discussing the evidence against Rena. Duke Cody of Goldleaf, a black haired, green eyed, white skinned, noble looking man, goes through yet another file in the jurors room of the Council of Nobles. He says in frustration "I can't beleive this happened! So many dead and abused. Not a single traveler reported anything out of the ordinary. I know we didn't have knights there but there was still inspections!" Duke Albert of Stormgrain, a gruff looking man with cyan hair and full beard, blue eyes with one covered by an eyepatch, and white skin, responds "I know what you mean. Worst still is there were no signs of bribery which makes it all the more frightening that she was only caught when trying to become a knight. I don't even want to think about what might have happened if she succeeded." Countess Racheal of Coldreach, a serious looking woman with white hair, green eyes with an eyepatch covering the right one, and black skin asks "Who was suppose to conduct the last inspection of Palemare?" The baron of Hildebrandt speaks "My eldest son." Coldreach nods "He's a good man and if anything is sometimes too honest for his own good. I highly doubt he was bribed. Seems the only two that might know how she pulled it off that we have access to are Lu, who is far to traumatized to give us accurate information on that, and Rena, who would never tell us. Regardless I think we should send Rena to the Coldreach Deep Mines." The Count of Southwind stands up and shouts "What?! She should be executed for her crimes against the people and the crown!" Coldreach counters calmly "If Rena dies there is a real good chance she won't stay dead." Baron Hildebrandt nods "She is correct. Rena is young, has strong ambitions, and they weren't fulfilled. Even now her regret builds." The Count of Southwind falls back in his chair "I...I didn't think about that...yes the Deep Mines. If only to prevent her from becoming a shikibane." With that they all agree and head back to the main courtroom to advise the queen.

Upon taking their seats the queen asks "What is the Council of Nobles conclusion?" The nobles declare Rena guilty Racheal stands "while her crimes more than warrant execution we recommend sending her to the Deep Mines. The risk of her coming back as a shikibane are far to great." Luna nods "I see" She thinks for a moment then says "From this day forward Rena is stripped of all rank and titles. She is also sentenced to the Coldreach Deep Mines to life out the rest of her days." Rena, who was thankfully chained to the floor and magically muted, started thrashing wildly to protest her sentence. Queen Luna continues "Furthermore, Seventy percent of the Palemare Horde shall be redistributed amongst the citizens of our nation, ten percent shall go the royal treasury and will be used to aid in Lu Greenfire's recovery, the final twenty percent shall stay in the Palemare Barony and be used in the recovery of the region. My retainer, Johnna Lancebreaker, shall serve as a provisional baroness until a suitable replacement can be found. I will also be acquiring the services of the Order of Stag's Grace. Those druids are quite adept at healing lands damaged by magic." The Baron of Hildebrandt says "Might I recommend asking the Loneroot's circle for aid? They have proven good friends in the past and it does us all well to turn to our allies from time to time." The queen nods "Indeed. Baron Hildebrandt I ask then that you ask them for help with healing the Palemare Barony as well." The Baroness of Redriver stands "This may not be the time but as it's related. What about crest? They have been without proper leadership for some time. The queen replies "I have already decided who will be the next baron of crest"
