Awaoka
In the southern peninsula of West Azuno lies Awaoka, a land where the wild and the wondrous become one. This region is features vast savannahs as well as towering mountainranges surrounded and interspersed with verdant rainforests. It is not uncommon to come across giants, dragons and great beasts in Awaoka, and not many travelers have dared to explore much further into the region than the people living there have.
Land of Traveling People
Awaoka is known for its diverse population, the Awaoki, who are not a united civilization but a collective of various peoples and tribes. They live in several parts of the region, but large portions of Awaoka remain uninhabited. These people are only loosely bound together by a reverence for the arcane and sometimes even a devotion to the wild magic that naturally surges through their land. Because of these nomadic lifestyles there are not a lot of traditional settlements. The exception to this is along the coasts, where there have always been a great number of hidden coves and secret harbors that many pirate crews call their home.Changing Landscape
Awaoka's southern island, Sonvahar, where the city of Oka Ador stood has now been surrendered to the wilderness and arcane forces. It is distinguished by its unique ecosystem, thriving with diverse flora and fauna, and influenced by the spontaneous manifestation of wild magic. In the north of Awaoka, the Empire of the Jade Eye has also significantly impacted Awaoka's history and landscape, especially following the Foxlands Battle. This pivotal conflict in northern Awaoka marked a shift in regional power. The empire, with its strict order and mastery over countering magic, emerged victorious, annexing parts of Awaoka and extending its influence.
